Help Arrives!

Hello,

Today we had our first helper come to our rescue! My sister Sabrina came to help us out after she finished her shift at work and she brought her little dog too!!! Ok, maybe not little!. Unfortunately her car broke down so fortunately for us she has to stay the night!

But before Sabrina showed up...

Ryan installed a bunch of new plumbing. I put on another coat of cement onto the wall and I also sprayed expanding foam into a bunch of cracks and I started to clean out more of the stuff in the in-law suite side of the basement.

Then Sabrina and Lexie came over...

And then Sabrina helped me move all the kitchen cabinets into the other side of the basement and then all three of us went to eat dinner. While at dinner (Wendy's) the power went out, so we finished our dinner and headed to Rona. At Rona we picked up 6 bales of insulation. Then we brought it home and installed all 6 bags which was kind of a pain with all the wires and pipes. Having an extra person helping really really makes a huge difference! We also danced to the oldies all night which kept us energized, for a while at least! Then we went back to Rona to pick up the Sonopan but, it seemed that Rona was also affected by the power outage, so we picked up nothing, well except for a few drinks at the Esso station! Once we returned home, we finished the insulation, cleaned up a bit and then Sabrina and Ryan started working on tearing up more of one wall in the hallway to move the light switch and then we ended our evening with a bunch of hot showers!

Sorry my words couldn't be more witty or even make sense, it's late again and I'm tired from all the work we did today.

Happy time change and enjoy the pictures. By the way, at 12:48am (before the time change) on March 11th..... Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!! See you later for dinner!

This is the expanding foam I was talking about. It's a really cool product!

The new hot water valve that Ryan has installed for the in-law suite.

The kitchen cupboards that were generously donated by Richards parents!

Ryan welcomes our helpers with a complimentary pair of safety glasses and a friendly smile!

Inspector Chance does not welcome the new helpers as Ryan did.

Lexie's performance was less than extraordinary. We tired her out quickly.

Is that them dancing to the oldies or just having so much fun working?!

The insulation.

More insulation that Sabrina is sweeping.

The insulation was so very itchy!

We promised Sabrina some demolition work and she got her chance!

Not a time to mess with Sabrina!

Packing up and the basement looks good!

Doesn't it look so much bigger?!
